To start with, this is my story. For many years I tried to delay and escape from the inevitable. For months thereafter, I was persistently persuaded by my near and dear ones. Finally, in late 2017, (yes I planned the year and almost the month as well), I finally took the plunge and entered the phase of ‘Motherhood’, albeit, with a lot of anxiety and fears. This is the journey of someone who literally suffered from Tokophobia-(fear of childbirth) since she was young but ultimately & contrary to popular perception, it became the biggest and most wonderful challenge of her life.
The book is a one-sitting read of 106 Pages divided into 11 chapters where the author has talked about her pregnancy journey in a very candid manner and has suggested some tips and tricks out of her experience of living the path herself. She has even talked about some of the misunderstandings people have about pregnancy and how it is always seen with something to be a feminine cycle entirely and men are never given a chance to play their role during the entire period of 9 months. Although it is changing with the coming times for the greater good. The information she has given is out of her own familiarities with pregnancy but seems to be very encouraging for someone who is going through this phase and not just that but someone who has ‘TOKOPHOBIA’ should read it too. Don’t know what TOKOPHOBIA is? Grab the book and learn about it more😉.
🍬 The writing style is utterly simple so that anybody could grab the feelings of the author easily.
🍬She has very well written about some of the overlooked elements when it comes to an expecting woman.
🍬 An informational piece of writing that everybody must read if they’re planning to have a newborn or think to do so in future. I would re-read it someday maybe.
🍬 Some of the details and advice the author has shared can really be beneficial.
🍬The biggest knowledge that the author has shared about Gynaecologist is a must-read.
Sonia Sahijwani Saini started her career as a writer by her debut Book “Legally Yours”. She is a Commerce Graduate with a degree in law later and is currently working as a legal officer in a Public Sector Company.
