Helen Owens loves her career as a hair-restoration professional and has used her success to help public and private clients with special needs and unusual circumstances. The stories of her amazing clients and the experiences she had throughout her career provide the backbone for this motivational self-help guide that shows you how to find and follow your “she-compass.”

Helen uses examples from her own voyage to teach you important lessons about

stopping the past from shaping your future, creating an autonomous and resolute soul, embracing your unique power, visualizing the life you want, refusing to put yourself last, ignoring negative self-talk, forming friendships in spite of insecurity or jealousy, treating others with kindness and empathy, surrounding yourself with people who will love and support you, loving yourself from the start, severing the ties of toxic friendships, remembering that there’s no single road to success, and staying the course in the face of all obstacles. Helen knows life is not always smooth sailing. Circumstances may be difficult-but as long as you have the right crew and your own compass, you’ll always find your best way forward.

Finding our SHE-COMPASS is basically 15 life lessons from Women’s that Helen Owens met in her life’s voyage while working as an expert Hair-Restoration professional. The domain she is into doesn’t just heel the outer looks of a woman but has to make her feel beautiful from within and so she got to connect with her clients at a level that she learned so much from their life anecdotes.

She has talked about self-worth, faith in once ability, optimism and positivity, respect for one’s own spirit, friendships and connections, attitude, knowing your powers and lot more. The nicest part about the volume is that each chapter enlightens you at the end and Helen has put that in words really well. The stories are motivating and will help you introspect yourself.

In total there are 13 chapters that will teach you about some essential life’s vital discourses and I felt so connected to each as I could relate to so many things inside. From Ms Morgan who was a lesbian teacher and hasn’t come out yet but understood Helen was different from other children to Jessica the hair-stylist who couldn’t succeed in her business venture because she was so afraid of failing that fear itself became the deciding factor in her choices. All these stories will make you contemplate.

🌝I loved the way the author has kept the teachings from the story as a sub-section in each chapter. That made it so easy to grab.

🌝 The book was full of encouragement

🌝 Chapters can be read separately.

🌝 The novel is full of wonderful quotations and that was the best part😍

“I know you’ve got a little life in you yet, I know you’ve got a lot of stregth left.”
